The Talisman Tab of the Shop Section

The Shop Section of the game allows you to buy certain items in the game for either coins or crystals. In the Shop you can buy talismans, energy items, strength items, tools, chests, combining elements, anomaly-banishing items, and special items required to play certain pictures.

After purchasing the item from the Shop section, it will go to your Inventory.

Opening the Shop[]

To open the shop press the Shop icon on your Home Desktop. The Shop icon is second from the left along the bottom of the Home Desktop.

The Shop contains 6 tabs in total. The default open tab is the first in the list, the Talismans tab.

Talismans Tab[]

The Talismans tab contains all of the talismans available to buy. Here, the talismans you could win through normal game play are listed. In addition, there are extra strength versions of the talismans only available in the shop (cannot be won in the game). To buy a talisman, open the Talismans tab of the Shop by pressing the Shop icon on your Home Desktop (the talisman tab is the default open tab). Find the talisman you wish to buy. Press the green 'Buy' button to purchase the talisman. It will now appear in yourinventory. Pressing the picture of the item will open a box that gives more information about the talisman: what it does when activated, how long it lasts, and how much it costs.

Energy Tab[]

The Energy Tab contains all of the energy items available to buy. Here energy items you could win through normal play are listed. During Holiday themed updates, there may be additional energy items for sale that will add more energy points than their non-holiday equivalents. To buy an energy item, open the Energy Tab, and find the item you wish to buy. Press the icon of an energy item to bring up the information box for it. You can press the green 'Buy' button to buy the item and the energy item will be added to your inventory. You can access the energy tab of the shop when playing the game without going into the shop section. On your own Home Desktop, pressing 'Research' on a picture or puzzle's research window when you do not have the right amount of energy points will prompt the game to automatically offer the option to go to the shop if you do not have any energy items in your inventory.

The picture below, left, shows the regular energy items which are always available in the Shop.  The picture below, right, shows Christmas-themed energy items which are only available while a Christmas-themed update is active.  (This picture was taken during Christmas Miracle Update; it may vary from year to year.)  The Shop will have Halloween-themed energy items available while a Halloween-themed update is active.  You can buy the holiday-themed energy items during the holiday events, and save them for future use.

Power Tab[]

The Power Tab contains all of the strength items (weights) available to buy. Here strength items you could win through normal play are listed. To buy a strength item, open the Power Tab, and find the item you wish to buy. Press the icon of any strength item to bring up the information box for it. You can press the green 'Buy' button to buy the item and the strength item will be added to your inventory. You can access the Power Tab of the shop when playing the game without going into the shop section. While visiting a friend's desktop, attempting to charge a friend's picture, puzzle or award when you do not have enough strength points will prompt the game to automatically offer the option to go to the shop if you do not have any strength items in your inventory.

Tools Tab[]

The Tools Tab contains all of the tools available to buy. Tools can be bought in sets of 1, 5 or 10, and the higher numbers have a discounted price compared to buying individual tools. Pressing the green 'Buy' button will buy the tools and add them to your inventory.  Explorer's Eyes, Dynamite, and Torches can only be purchased with crystals.  Compasses, Time Machines, and Lanterns can only be purchased with coins.

Special Tab[]

The Special Tab contains all of the chests available to buy. You can buy chests that are available to win in the game, through combining collections or achieving awards. Additionally, you can buy extra chests that cannot be won in the game, including chests of special items required to play certain pictures. Pressing the green 'buy' button will purchase the chest, and the chest will enter your inventory.

Different Tab[]

The Different Tab of the shop contains certain combining elements (with options to buy 1 or buy 10), items for banishing anomalies, and special items required to play certain pictures (with options to buy 1, 10 or 100). Pressing the green 'buy' button will purchase an item, and then it will automatically enter your inventory.

You can buy items for banishing anomalies by pressing the banish button in the research window of a picture with an anomaly if you do not have any in your inventory. You can also buy special items by pressing the research button in the research window of a picture that requires them when you do not have enough to play one game. You will be given the option to buy 1 or buy the correct amount to bring your total to the total required to play that picture 1 time.

It is also possible to buy combining elements directly from the Collections Section of the game. You may buy all combining elements in the collections section, not just the ones listed in the Different tab of the Shop. To buy a combining element from the Collections Section, open it by pressing the Collections icon on your Home Desktop.

In the Collections tab, scroll to any collection that requires the combining element you need to buy. Above the 'Combine' button (which is green if you have all collection items and combining elements required or brown if you are missing any) there is a box that contains 4 slots for combining elements. Pressing this box will bring up a larger version of it. In this box you can see the price of each combining element required for that collection, and beneath the picture of the element will be 'Buy' button. Pressing the 'Buy' button will buy one of that element.

In the Artifacts tab, scroll to any artifact that requires the combining element you need to buy. Above the 'Combine' button (which is green if you have all collections and combining elements required or brown if you are missing any) there is a box that contains 4 slots for clock part combining elements. Pressing this box will bring up a larger version of it. In this box you can see the price of each clock part combining element required for that artifact, and beneath the picture of the element will be 'Buy' button. Pressing the 'Buy' button will buy one of that element.

Special Note: Be sure to check the price of the combining element you require in both the shop and the collections tab under multiple collections that require it. Occasionally, the price of the same element will differ between the shop and the collections section or between different collections in the collections section. Check all the places were you can buy that element to make sure you are getting the best price before making your purchase.

Bank[]

The Bank is where you can spend actual money to purchase crystals and/or gold coins. Access the Bank by touching one of the yellow + signs in the upper right corner of the home desktop.

When you haven't made any purchases yet, you will occasionally win a "5th Element" (light blue gem) as a reward from investigating a picture or puzzle. This will be active for a few days. It will enable you to purchase five times as many crystals or gold coins for the same amount of money. It also includes a special offer that includes both gold and crystals.

Occasionally you will win a "Philosopher's Crystal" (red gem) as a reward from investigating a picture or puzzle. This will be active for several days. It will enable you to purchase twice as many crystals or gold coins for the same amount of money.

Occasionally you may receive special offers which offer bonus gifts of Chests for purchasing larger amounts of crystals or gold coins. See the image below.
