There are 60 pictures available to investigate. You can see these pictures laid out on the Home Desktop. At the beginning of a new game only one picture, 'Venice' is unlocked. Progressing through the game unlocks additional pictures.

Picture Images Edit

Special Item PicturesEdit

Some pictures require special items as well as energy points in order to play them.

  • Night Garden: Requires Fireflies to play. Fireflies can be found in the Palatial Office at Detective Level or higher. Fireflies may also be given by the Friendliness award when it is charged by a friend. The Pyramid of Wonder and Sphere of Miracles awards have a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Fireflies in normal play (1 in 6 during holiday events). Fireflies are occasionally given as a bonus when visiting friend's desktops. Some collections award Fireflies. Fireflies can be given as a free gift to a friend from level 25 onward.
  • Mill: Requires Ladybugs to play. Ladybugs can be found in the Ancient Library at Detective Level or higher. The Pyramid of Wonder and Sphere of Miracles awards have a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Ladybugs in normal play (1 in 6 during holiday events). Ladybugs are occasionally given as a bonus when visiting friend's desktops. Some collections award Ladybugs. Ladybugs can be given as a free gift to a friend from level 35 onward.
  • Illusionist's Room: Requires Carrots to play. Carrots can be found in the Misty Shed, Night Garden, Mill, and Eastern Bazaar at Detective Level or higher. The Pyramid of Wonder and Sphere of Miracles awards have a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Carrots in normal play (1 in 6 during holiday events). Carrots are occasionally given as a bonus when visiting friend's desktops. Some collections award Carrots. Carrots can be given as a free gift to a friend from level 45 onward.
  • Tree of Dates: Requires Cupid's arrows to play. Cupid's arrows can be found in Venice and the Throne Room at Detective Level or higher. The Pyramid of Wonder and Sphere of Miracles awards have a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Cupid's arrows in normal play (1 in 6 during holiday events). Cupid's arrows are occasionally given as a bonus when visiting friend's desktops. Cupid's arrows can be given as a free gift to a friend from level 25 onward.
  • Observation Deck: Requires Tokens to play. Tokens can be found in the Mayan Temple and Crashed Plane. The Sphere of Miracles (Level 1 and 2) and Pyramid of Wonder (Level 1 and 2) desktop awards have a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Tokens in normal play (1 in 6 during holiday events). Tokens can be given as a free gift to a friend from level 87 onward.

New pictures added as part of Updates may have special item requirements for the duration of the Update and possibly for the duration of the next Update.  These special item requirements may be lifted during a later update, after which the pictures will only require energy points to play them like regular pictures.

  • Witch's Hut: For the duration of the Halloween Update, Pumpkin Lanterns were required to play the Witch's Hut. Pumpkin Lanterns were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Halloween event. The Sphere of Miracles desktop award had a 1 in 4 chance of awarding Pumpkin Lanterns for the duration of the Halloween event. Pumpkin Lanterns were removed as a requirement to play Witch's Hut during the Christmas Update. Any Pumpkin Lanterns in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs and Carrots.
  • Christmas Eve: For the duration of the Christmas Update, Christmas Baubles were required to play Christmas Eve. Christmas Baubles were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Christmas event. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 4 chance of awarding Christmas Baubles for the duration of the Christmas event. Christmas Baubles were removed as a requirement to play Christmas Eve during the Valentines Update. Any Christmas Baubles in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs and Carrots.
  • Tree of Dates: Cupid's arrows were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Valentines event. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Cupid's arrows for the duration of the Valentines event. With the introduction of the Tavern Update, Cupid's arrows were kept on a special item requirement for playing Tree of Dates, increasing the total number of regular special item pictures to 4. The Tavern Update restricted Cupid's arrows to just being rewards for successful investigations of Venice and the Throne Room.
  • Forest House: For the duration of the Halloween 2014 Update, Pumpkin Lanterns were required to play the Forest House. Pumpkin Lanterns were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Halloween timed Challenges and restricted to only being won in Witch's Hut and Polar Station once a player completed all the challenges or the timer expired (whichever happened first). The Sphere of Miracles (Level 1 and Level 2) and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Pumpkin Lanterns for the duration of the Halloween event. Pumpkin Lanterns were removed as a requirement to play Forest House during the Christmas 2014 update. Any Pumpkin Lanterns in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots and Cupid's arrows.
  • Winter Street: For the duration of the Christmas 2014 Update, Christmas Balls were required to play Winter Street. Christmas Balls were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Christmas timed Challenges and restricted to only being won in Crashed Plane and Christmas Eve once a player completed all the challenges or the timer expired (whichever happened first). The Sphere of Miracles (Level 1 and 2) and Pyramid of Wonder (Level 1 and 2) desktop awards had a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Christmas balls for the duration of the Christmas event. Christmas balls were removed as a requirement to play Winter Street during the Spring 2015 Update. Any Christmas balls in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots and Cupid's arrows.
  • Observation Deck: For the duration of the Travel Time Update, Tokens were required to play Observation Deck. Tokens were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Travel Time Update's timed challenges, and restricted to just the Mayan Temple and Crashed Plane after the timed challenges event ended. Tokens could also be won by banishing anomalies but could not be won for playing Puzzles. The Sphere of Miracles (Level 1 and 2) and Pyramid of Wonder (Level 1 and 2) desktop awards had a 1 in 5 chance of awarding Tokens for the duration of the update. With the introduction of the Social Events Update, Tokens were kept on as a special item requirement for playing Observation Deck, increasing the total number of regular special item pictures to 5. Tokens continued to be restricted to just being rewards for successful investigations of Mayan Temple and Crashed Plane.
  • Banquet Hall: For the duration of the Social Events Update, Invitations were required to play the Banquet Hall. Invitations were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Social Events Update's timed challenges, and restricted to the Amusement Park and Japanese House after the timed challenges event ended. Invitations could also be won by banishing anomalies but could not be won for playing Puzzles. The Sphere of Miracles (Level 1 and 2) and Pyramid of Wonder (Level 1 and 2) desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Invitations for the duration of the update. Invitations were removed as a requirement to play Banquet Hall during the Halloween 2015 Update. Any Invitations in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Spooky Yard: For the duration of the Halloween 2015 Update, Pumpkin Lanterns were required to play the Spooky Yard. Pumpkin Lanterns were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Halloween timed challenge event. Once a player completed all challenges in the Halloween Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happened first), Pumpkin Lanterns were restricted so that they could only be won in the Japanese House and Amusement Park. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Pumpkin Lanterns for the duration of the Halloween Update. Pumpkin Lanterns were removed as a requirement to play Spooky Yard during the 2015 Christmas Update. Any Pumpkin Lanterns in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Wonder Shop: For the duration of the Christmas 2015 Update, Christmas Balls were required to play the Wonder Shop. Christmas Balls were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Christmas timed Challenges. Once a player completed all challenges in the Christmas Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happened first), Christmas Balls were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Amusement Park. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Christmas Balls for the duration of the Christmas Update. Christmas Balls were removed as a requirement to play Wonder Shop during the Mountain Vacation Update. Any Christmas Balls in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Mountain Resort: For the duration of the Mountain Vacation Update, Snowdrop special items were required to play the Mountain Resort. Snowdrops were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Mountain Vacation timed Challenges. Once a player completed all the challenges in the Mountain Vacation Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happens first), Snowdrops were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Amusement Park. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Snowdrops for the duration of the Mountain Vacation Update. Snowdrops were removed as a requirement to play Mountain Resort during the Spring 2016 Update. Any Snowdrops in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Spring Festival: For the duration of the Spring Festival Update, Origami special items were required to play Spring Festival. Origami were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Celebration of Spring timed Challenges. Once a player completed all the challenges in the Celebration of Spring Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happens first), Origami were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Amusement Park. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Origami for the duration of the Spring Festival Update. Origami were removed as a requirement to play Spring Festival during the Celebration by the Bonfire Update. Any Origami in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Camping Site: Camping Site was the Celebration by the Bonfire's Timed Challenge's special item picture, the first of two Timed Challenges introduced by the Celebration by the Bonfire Update. For the duration of the Celebration by the Bonfire Update, Dandelion special items were required to play the Camping Site. Dandelions were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Celebration by the Bonfire timed Challenges. Once a player completed all the challenges in the Celebration by the Bonfire Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happened first), Dandelions were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Amusement Park. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Dandelions until the second set of Timed Challenges in the Update were triggered (the Vacation by the Sea Event) at which point the Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder had a 1 in 7 chance of awarding Dandelions for the remaining time until the next update was released. Dandelions were removed as a requirement to play Camping Site during the Harvest and Halloween Update. Any Dandelions in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Tropical Evening: Tropical Evening was the Vacation by the Sea's Timed Challenge's special item picture, the second of two Timed Challenges introduced by the Celebration by the Bonfire Update. For the duration of the Celebration by the Bonfire Update, Sunglasses special items were required to play Tropical Evening. Sunglasses were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Vacation by the Sea timed Challenges. Once a player completed all the challenges in the Vacation by the Sea Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happened first), Sunglasses were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Amusement Park. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 7 chance of awarding Sunglasses for the duration of the Celebration by the Bonfire Update. Sunglasses were removed as a requirement to play Tropical Evening during the Harvest and Halloween Update. Any Sunglasses in a player's inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens.
  • Farm: Farm was the Harvest Festival Timed Challenges special item picture, the first of two Timed Challenges introduced by the Harvest and Halloween Update. For the duration of the Harvest and Halloween Update, Harvest Basket special items were required to play the Farm. Harvest Baskets were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Harvest Festival Timed Challenges. Once a player completed all the challenges in the Harvest Festival Event, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happened first), Harvest Baskets were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Bungalow. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 6 chance of awarding Harvest Baskets until the second set of Timed Challenges in the Update were triggered (the Halloween 2016 Timed Challenges) at which point the Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder had a 1 in 7 chance of awarding Harvest Baskets. The Harvest Baskets were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens with the Christmas 2016 Update.
  • Haunted Attraction: Haunted Attraction was the Halloween 2016 "Celebration of the Spirits" Timed Challenges special item picture, the second of two Timed Challenges introduced by the Harvest and Halloween Update. For the duration of the Harvest and Halloween Update, Pumpkin Lantern special items were required to play Haunted Attraction. Pumpkin Lanterns were awarded for every picture played at any level for the duration of the Celebration of the Spirits Timed Challenges. Once a player completed all the challenges in the Celebration of the Spirits, or the challenge timer expired (whichever happened first), Pumpkin Lanterns were restricted to only being won in the Japanese House and Bungalow. The Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder desktop awards had a 1 in 7 chance of awarding Pumpkin Lanterns for the duration of the Harvest and Halloween Update. The Pumpkin Lanterns were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots, Cupid's arrows and Tokens with the Christmas 2016 update.
  • Luxury Express was introduced during the Magic Tour and Christmas Update's first Timed Challenge, the "Magic Tour Event"(November 2016). For the duration of this Update, Luxury Express could be opened from level 7 onward to allow all players to take part in the update's timed challenges. Special items Train Tickets are required to play. Train Tickets are rewarded for  every picture played at  any level for the duration of the Challange. 

  • Festive Dinner was introduced during the Magic Tour and Christmas Update's third Timed Challenge, the "Magic Tour Event" (November 2016). For the duration of this Update, Festive Dinner could be opened from level 7 onward to allow all players to take part in the update's timed challenges. For the duration of the Christmas 2016 challenge, Christmas ball special items are required in addition to energy points to play Festive Dinner. Christmas balls are given as rewards for every successful investigation for every picture (except Festive Dinner itself!), and as rewards for banishing anomalies, but not for playing puzzles. Christmas balls cannot be gifted between friends, however they can be given as rewards by the Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder.

  • The Orangery was introduced during the Winter's Tale Update's first Timed Challenge, the "Winter's Tale Event" (January 2017). For the duration of this Update, the Orangery could be opened from level 7 onward to allow all players to take part in the update's timed challenges. For the duration of the Winter's Tale challenge, Rare Flower special items were required in addition to energy points to play the Orangery. Rare Flowers were given as rewards for every successful investigation for every picture (except the Orangery itself!), and as rewards for banishing anomalies, but not for playing puzzles. Rare Flowers could not be gifted between friends, however they could be given as rewards by the Sphere of Miracles and Pyramid of Wonder.
  • Tea Corner was introduced by The Legend Returns Update.  Tea Corner could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Jade Crystal special items were required to play Tea Corner until the Forgotten Story Update was released.
  • Aviation Museum was introduced by the Forgotten Story Update.  Aviation Museum could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Compass special items were required to play Aviation Museum until the Call from the Depths Update was released.
  • Forester's Base was introduced by the Wildlife Photography Season Update.  Forester's Base could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Candlestick special items were required to play Forester's Base until the Call from the Depths Update was released.
  • Captain's Cabin was introduced by the Call from the Depths Update.  Captain's Cabin could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Seahorse special items were required to play Captain's Cabin until the Guardian of the Desert Update was released.
  • Ship's Deck was introduced by the Time Trap Update.  Ship's Deck could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Perpetual Calendar special items were required to play Ship's Deck until the Guardian of the Desert Update was released.
  • Heart of the Dunes was introduced by the Guardian of the Desert Update.  Heart of the Dunes could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Desert Rose special items were required to play Heart of the Dunes until the Halloween's Horror Update was released.
  • Vikings Village was introduced by the Raven's Test Update.  Vikings Village could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update. Wooden Shield special items were required to play Vikings Village until the Halloween's Horror Update was released.
  • Film Studio was introduced by the Halloween's Horror Update.  Film Studio could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Pumpkin Lantern special items were required to play Film Studio until the Christmas Miracle Update was released.
  • Bakery was introduced by the Sweet Venture Update.  Bakery could be opened from Level 7 onward during this update.  Vanilla Pod special items were required to play Bakery until the Christmas Miracle Update was released.
