Forest House is unlocked when the player reaches level 7.
Forest House was introduced during the Halloween2014 update. For the duration of the Halloween challenge, Pumpkin Lantern special items were needed in addition to energy points to play Forest House. Pumpkin Lanterns were given as rewards for every successful investigation for every picture, but not for playing puzzles, nor as rewards for banishing anomalies. The Christmas 2014 update removed Pumpkin lanterns from the game and turned Forest House into a regular picture that just requires energy points to play. Any Pumpkin lanterns left in a players inventory were converted into Fireflies, Ladybugs, Carrots and Cupid arrows to be used to play the regular paid scenes.
From the Diary:
"Christy had told me that she got an unusual letter that wasn't signed. It turned out that there was a magical photo inside the envelope. Christy is sure that the sender is mu Uncle Richard. In the photo there is a small hut, which stands in a thick and very gloomy forest. I wonder who lives in this Forest House - and why Richard sent me this photo?"
Forest House is one of the 19 pictures in the game that does not reward any combining elements, but does reward collection items that require a large number of combining elements to combine.
- Black Cat
- Bunch of garlic
- Crystal Ball
- Mandrake root
- Rock crystal
- Witch's Hat
The list of items found in Forest House is very similar to the list of items found in Witch's Hut, the 2013 Halloween Update's Halloween picture. However, the items themselves do not look exactly like they do in Witch's Hut, and Forest House has some new items (e.g. Flower; Lock; Pitchfork), and is missing some Witch's Hut items (e.g. Eyeball; Voodoo Doll), and the Stick replaces the Log.
Morphs and Pieces modes have their own items that need to be found, separate from those listed above.
Resource Demands and Rewards for PlayingEdit
Forest House is a Collection Item only Picture. This means its list of potential rewards for each play only contains regular Collection Items, mode dependent Collection Items (depending on what mode the Picture is currently in), and Quest Items (if a Quest is currently active for the Picture). The list of potential rewards for Forest House is made up of 5 Collections added by the Halloween 2014 Update:
When Forest House is first opened, and so is on Novice level, only the first 3 items from The Archivist's notes collection will be on the list of potential rewards. As the level of the Picture is increased, more and more items will be unlocked as potential rewards.
The amount of energy required to play Forest House will increase as the level of the Picture is increased. The experience points and coins rewards for each win of the Picture will also increase to match the increase in resource demands, as will the pool of potential collection item rewards:

The Amanita is a type of mushroom. The Amanita in Forest House looks like the Amanita muscaria mushroom, with a red top that has small white dots in it.
