Captain's Cabin, the "Finding Nemo"-picture, is unlocked when the player reaches level 172 (level 7 when originally introduced).
Players can 'pay to play' Captain's Cabin from level 170 onward, where they can choose to pay with crystals (which will need to be bought with real money) to unlock the Picture early, rather than waiting until they reach level 172 and unlock it for free through normal game play.
Captain's Cabin was introduced during the Call from the Depths Update (May 2017). For the duration of the challenge, Seahorse special items were needed in addition to energy points to play Captain's Cabin. Seahorses were given as rewards for every successful investigation for every picture, as well as for banishing anomalies, but not for playing puzzles. The Guardian of the Desert Update (July 2017) removed Seahorses from the game and Captain's Cabin became a free picture only requiring energy to play.
From the Diary:
"Howard found a photo fragment among the pages of a Bathyscaphe magazine about the underwater adventures of seafarers. It turned out to be the wonderful "Captain's Cabin" picture made in the submarine of the fearless Murrow, which disappeared years ago under mysterious circumstances. We also found an envelope containing a note with an important request from none other than Captain Murrow. We must finish what Richard started at any cost! A mere glance at the photo reveals how many riddles we have to solve in the "Captain's Cabin"."
Captain's Cabin is one of the pictures in the game that does not reward any combining elements, but does reward collection items that require a large number of combining elements to combine.
The following is a list of hidden items found in Captain's Cabi in most modes. Depending on the Picture Level and Game Mode you may not have to find all the items in one visit. Morphs and Pieces modes have their own items that need to be found, separate from those listed below.
- Coil of rope
- Fishing net
- Navy medal ¹
- Pocket watch
- Smoking pipe
- Snorkel fins
- Swim goggles
- Table lamp
- The Hanami Festival Update (April 2018) made the following changes:
- Order was renamed Navy medal
Resource Demands and Rewards for PlayingEdit
Captain's Cabin is a Collection Item only Picture. This means its list of potential rewards for each play only contains regular Collection Items, mode dependent Collection Items (depending on what mode the Picture is currently in), and Quest Items (if a Quest is currently active for the Picture). The list of potential rewards for Captain's Cabin is made up of 7 Collections:
- Mysterious abode
- Artist's supplies (1)
- Fruits of inspiration
- Mirror system
- Lip reading device
- Working on a manuscript
- Investigation map
When Captain's Cabin is first opened, it is at Novice level, and only the items from the Mysterious abode collection will be on the list of potential rewards. As the level of the Picture is increased, more and more items will be unlocked as potential rewards.
The amount of energy required to play Captain's Cabin will increase as the level of the Picture is increased. The experience points and coins rewards for each win of the Picture will also increase to match the increase in resource demands:
